Original Research

Abstract Original Research must include a structured abstract of 250 words. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be structured with the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusion and include 3-5 keywords.
Manuscript Main text must not exceed 3,000 words. Main text must include Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Manuscript must include 3-5 keywords, and cohort, case-control, and cross-sectional studies must report baseline characteristics, unadjusted data, and adjusted model results in Tables 1-3.
References References must not exceed 50. References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered in order of citation using superscript Arabic numerals, journal names must be abbreviated according to Index Medicus, up to 6 authors must be listed in full, and references with more than 6 authors must list the first 3 authors followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Original Research should include no more than 5 illustrations and tables in total. Initial submission may embed tables and figures in the manuscript or provide them as separate files, but figures must be submitted as separate files. Figure captions must be listed at the end of the main document, and tables and figures must be numbered in the order cited and mentioned in the text.
