Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required for Research Articles. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Manuscript structure specifies Abstract followed by introduction, key messages, methods, results, discussion, optional conclusion, references, legends, and tables and figures, but no specific abstract subheadings are stated.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 5,000 words excluding the abstract and references. Manuscript must be structured as Abstract; introduction; key messages; methods; results; discussion; conclusion (optional); references; legends; tables and figures. Manuscript must include key messages, and journal-level requirements specify a key message box with 3–5 messages totaling 80–100 words and transparent disclosure in the Methods section if AI-generated content tools were used.
References References must follow APA 7th edition style. In-text citations must use the author-date method, the reference list must be alphabetical, DOIs must be provided where available, and references with more than 7 authors must list the first 6 authors followed by ellipses and the last author.
Figures & Tables Research Articles may include no more than 5 figures and/or tables in total. Figures and tables may be uploaded within a single manuscript file or as separate files, but figures are also stated to be supplied as separate files. Tables must be editable and accompanied by self-contained legends and footnotes, and figure legends must be concise, comprehensive, and define symbols, abbreviations, and units.
