Pediatrics is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Regular Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required. Cover letter must affirm author responsibility and participation in the work and approval of the manuscript as submitted, and must disclose any use of generative AI tools including the tool name, manufacturer, and how it was used.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 words or fewer. Abstract must be structured as four paragraphs with boldface headings. Abstract headings must be Objectives or Background and Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must be 3,000 words or fewer, calculated from the start of the Introduction to the end of the Conclusion. Manuscript must use the standard research sections Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Manuscript must include “What’s Known on This Subject” and “What This Study Adds” summaries in paragraph form, each limited to 40 words.
References References must follow AMA Manual of Style. References must be complete, cited in the text, and numbered in the order of first appearance.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files with legends placed at the end of the main manuscript, and tables must be placed at the end of the main Word document after the references or submitted as separate files. Tables must be created in Microsoft Word and numbered in citation order, and figures must be numbered in citation order.

Health Policy Article

A Summary of Policy Implications of no more than 80 words must be included as the last item on the Title Page.
