Research Article

Cover Letter Authors should disclose the availability of any published preliminary work and related articles in the covering letter and confirm permission or retained copyright for any published conference material. Cover letter should disclose any published preliminary work and related articles and confirm retained copyright or permission for any published conference material.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be limited to 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, Limitations, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Research Article manuscripts must not exceed 5,000 words excluding the title page, abstract, references, tables, figures, and figure legends. Manuscript must be ordered as title page, abstract, keywords, body text with Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, and Discussion, then Limitations, Conclusions, acknowledgements, and references. Manuscript must include keywords after the abstract and disclose AI writing assistance in the Acknowledgements and AI use in research design or conduct in the Methods.
References Research Articles must include no more than 60 references. References must follow National Library of Medicine style. References must be cited in numerical order using superscript Arabic numerals, the reference list must not be alphabetized, journal titles must be abbreviated according to PubMed, and when there are more than 3 authors only the first 3 should be listed followed by "et al.".
Figures & Tables For Research Articles, tables, figures, figure captions, and appendices may be uploaded separately or included within the manuscript file. Each figure and table must be cited and named in order of first appearance in the text, tables must include a caption and be supplied in an editable format, and abbreviations or symbols in figures and tables must be defined in the caption or table note.
