Journal of Rheumatic Diseases (JRD) is the official journal of the Korean College of Rheumatology and the Korean College of Pediatric Clinical Immunology. Founded in 1994, it is published quarterly on the first day of January, April, July, and October, with supplements published if necessary. The journal covers all aspects of rheumatic diseases, including clinical investigations and basic research, and is indexed in ESCI, Scopus, PubMed, PubMed Central, KoreaMed, KCI, CrossRef, and Google Scholar.

Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover letter is required. Cover letter must state that the manuscript is original and not currently submitted elsewhere, disclose any potential conflict of interest, and include the name, version, and purpose of any AI tool used during manuscript preparation.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings objective, methods, results, and conclusion, and include 2 to 5 MeSH keywords at the bottom.
Manuscript Main text must include introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusion. Manuscript must include keywords, a running title, supplementary data, funding, acknowledgments, conflict of interest, author contributions, ORCID, references, tables and figures, and an AI disclosure in the manuscript if AI tools were used.
References Original Articles should cite 40 references or fewer. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be numbered in order of citation using Arabic numerals, cited in the text with bracketed numbers, list all authors if there are 6 or fewer or the first 6 followed by et al. if there are 7 or more, and use approved Index Medicus journal abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Tables must be prepared on separate pages and images must be uploaded as separate files. Tables and figures must be numbered in the order cited in the text and labeled with Arabic numerals in the format Table 1 and Figure 1.

Case Report

Manuscript Case Report must not exceed 1,500 words or 5 pages. Case Report manuscript must include in order title, authors with affiliations and names, abstract and keywords, introduction, case report, discussion, summary, acknowledgments, conflict of interest, references, and tables and figures. Manuscript should include 2 to 5 keywords and must include a statement confirming that patient consent has been obtained, and any AI tool used during manuscript preparation must be disclosed in the manuscript.
References Case Reports should cite no more than 15 references. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be numbered in order of citation using Arabic numerals with bracketed in-text citation numbers, list all authors when there are 6 or fewer and the first 6 followed by et al. when there are 7 or more, use Index Medicus journal abbreviations, and include first and last page numbers.
Figures & Tables Case Reports must not exceed a total of 5 tables and figures. Photographic images must be attached separately. Tables and figures must be numbered in the order cited in the text.

References must be listed on a new page in the order of citation using Arabic numerals, with bracketed reference numbers in the text, Index Medicus journal abbreviations, all authors listed when there are 6 or fewer and the first 6 followed by et al. when there are 7 or more.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures must be limited to 2 or fewer in total. Images must be uploaded as separate files. Tables must be prepared on separate pages and numbered in order of citation, and figures must be numbered in order of citation.
