The Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) is the official journal of the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis. Its mission is to advance science related to thrombosis, bleeding disorders and vascular biology through the diffusion and exchange of information and ideas within the international research community. The journal publishes original research reports, reviews, brief reports, case reports, invited commentaries, forum articles, correspondence and announcements, and welcomes both fundamental and clinical contributions.

Original Article

Cover Letter Any involvement of medical writers or researchers in writing the article must be disclosed in the cover letter.
Abstract Original Articles must include an abstract. The structured abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Objectives, Patients/Methods, Results and Conclusions.
Manuscript The main body of the text must not exceed 5000 words. The manuscript must include an Addendum specifying the role of each author at the end of the Discussion before the Acknowledgements, include three to five keywords in alphabetical order following the Summary, and add a 'Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process' section before the References if such tools were used in writing.
References Original Articles may include up to 75 references. References must be cited by number in square brackets in the text and listed in numerical order of first appearance, with more than six authors abbreviated to the first six followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include no more than 8 tables or figures in total. Figures must be uploaded as separate files with captions, and tables must be uploaded separately with titles, descriptions, and footnotes. Illustration legends must be grouped at the end of the manuscript, and tables must be kept to essential data, cited in the text, numbered in Arabic numerals, and submitted in an editable format rather than as images.

Review Article
