Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required for all submissions, indicating the target section, summarizing the original contribution and relevance, confirming compliance with author instructions and ethics, and disclosing any prior submission/publication.
Title Page Provide a separate title page with manuscript title, all author names and affiliations, corresponding author contact details, declarations of interest, and word counts for both abstracts and the main text.
Abstract A structured abstract of up to 250 words is required with the headings: Objective, Design, Setting, Patients/participants, Interventions, Main variables of interest, Results, and Conclusions.
Main Manuscript Headings Follow the IMRaD format: Introduction, Patients and Methods, Results, and Discussion. Include Funding, Conflicts of Interest, Acknowledgements, and detailed Author Contributions.
Reference Format Use Vancouver style with superscript numbering in order of appearance and Index Medicus journal abbreviations; include DOIs where available. Limit the reference list to 40 items.
Figures Upload figures as separate high‑resolution files (e.g., 300 dpi for photos, 1000 dpi for line art) with captions supplied separately. The combined number of figures and tables must not exceed 6.
Tables Include tables as editable text within the manuscript or at the end, numbered consecutively with clear titles and explanatory footnotes. Combined figures and tables must not exceed 6.
Additional Documents Include ethics approval and informed consent statements as applicable, a completed Declaration of Interest, funding statement, and for clinical trials the CONSORT checklist, flow diagram, and trial registration number.
Word Count The main text must not exceed 3,500 words, excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figure legends.
