Neurological Research and Practice, official journal of the German Neurological Society, is an international journal covering clinical, translational and basic research in neurology and neuroscience. Its scope includes areas such as genetics, vascular diseases and critical care, spine disorders, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, infections, oncology, epilepsy, neuroimaging and neuroradiology, neurodevelopment and degeneration. The journal publishes research articles, reviews, clinical trial protocols, standard operating procedures, letters to the editor and guidelines.

Abstract Abstract must be 150 to 250 words.
Manuscript Research Article manuscripts must not exceed 5,000 words, excluding the abstract, keywords, figures, tables, captions, and references. Manuscript must include a heading titled "Statements and Declarations". Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a Competing Interests statement and disclosure statement under "Statements and Declarations," documentation of any large language model use in the Methods or suitable alternative section, and a Data Availability Statement.
References Citations must be given as numbers in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered consecutively, include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication, and include full DOI links where available.
Figures & Tables Figures should be submitted within the body of the text and only submitted separately if file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order, and accompanied by concise captions, with figure captions included in the manuscript text file.
