Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must provide the corresponding author's affiliation and contact information, explain the importance of the work and its suitability for the journal's readership, confirm originality and exclusive submission, include any prior reviewer comments if previously considered elsewhere, and include a Competing Interests statement.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Background/Objectives, Subjects/Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Main body text, excluding abstract, tables/figures, and references, must not exceed 4,000 words. Manuscript must include a Methods section with enough detail and references to allow reproduction of the experimental procedures. Manuscript must document any use of an LLM in the Methods section or another suitable section if no Methods section is available, include author contribution information, include a Competing Interests statement before the References under the heading 'Competing Interests', and include one to four unique subject terms.
References Articles may include a maximum of 60 references. References must follow Vancouver format. In-text citations must be numbered consecutively from 1, references must be listed in numerical order, up to six authors must be listed in full and more than six authors truncated after the first six with et al., and first and last page numbers must be provided.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 6 tables or figures. Figures must be uploaded as separate files rather than embedded in the text, figure legends must appear on a separate manuscript page after the References section, and each table must be uploaded separately. Tables must present essential non-duplicative data and be editable, while figures and tables must be labeled sequentially and cited in the text in order.

Review Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required. Cover letter must provide the corresponding author's affiliation and contact information, explain the importance and suitability of the work for the journal's readership, and include a competing interests statement.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Main body text must not exceed 7,500 words, excluding the abstract, tables and figures, and references. Manuscript must include a competing interests statement before the References section under the heading 'Competing Interests', document any use of an LLM in the Methods section or another suitable section if no Methods section is available, and include at least one and up to four subject terms.
References Review Articles may include a maximum of 120 references. References must follow Vancouver format. References must be cited in the text as numbered citations, listed in numerical order, include all authors when there are up to six and the first six followed by et al. when there are more than six, and provide first and last page numbers.
Figures & Tables Review Articles may include a maximum of 8 tables or figures. Figures must not be embedded in the text and must be uploaded as separate files, and each table must be uploaded separately. Tables must be editable and figures and tables must be labelled sequentially and cited in the text in the correct order.
