Seminars in Hematology is a review journal dedicated to subjects of current importance in clinical hematology, including related areas of oncology, hematopathology, and blood banking. Each issue is edited by guest editors who are internationally acknowledged experts and contains invited reviews designed to provide a coordinated overview of a selected area for practicing physicians, investigators, and clinicians interested in blood diseases.

Submission Instructions

Seminars in Hematology is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Reviews

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with the submission. Cover letter must briefly state the study's aim and main findings, explain fit with the journal's scope, emphasize novelty and broader implications, and acknowledge if the submission was invited.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Reviews must not exceed 6,000 words excluding references. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. Include 1 to 6 keywords in English, and if generative AI tools were used to create images, disclose this in each image caption.
References Reviews typically contain fewer than 150 references. References must be cited by number in square brackets and numbered in the reference list by order of appearance. For references with more than 6 authors, list the first 6 followed by 'et al.', and abbreviate journal names according to LTWA.
Figures & Tables Reviews may include up to 6 figures and tables. Tables should be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, and figures must be supplied as separate files. Tables must be submitted as editable text with captions, and all figures and tables must be cited and numbered consecutively in the text.
