Virologica Sinica is an international peer-reviewed journal and the official journal of the Chinese Society for Microbiology. It publishes original research articles, reviews, and letters to the editor across all branches of virology, including animal, plant, and microbe viruses, with topics such as virus discovery and characterization, epidemiology, pathogenesis, virus-host interaction, vaccine development, antiviral agents and therapies, and virus-related biotechnologies.

Research Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required and must be structured. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 6000 words. Manuscript should contain Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Data availability, Ethics statement, Author contributions, Conflict of interest, Acknowledgments, References, and Figure legends and tables sections. Manuscript must include keywords and mandatory highlights consisting of 3 to 5 bullet points of no more than 85 characters each.
References References should follow Elsevier Harvard with titles style. All references listed must be cited in the text and vice versa, and journal names should be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Each illustration must be submitted as a separate file with captions supplied at the end of the main text, and tables can be placed on separate pages at the end of the main text. Figures and tables must be numbered in numerical order and all figures and tables must be cited in the main text.
