Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must state the originality of the work and disclose previous presentations, reports, or publications containing any material that appears in the manuscript.
Abstract An abstract is required.
Manuscript The manuscript must be 5,000–8,000 words. Materials and Methods and Results sections are not required. A graphical abstract is required.
References The manuscript may include a maximum of 100 references. References must conform to NLM Style Guide. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention using unparenthesized superscripts after closing punctuation, with journal titles abbreviated according to Index Medicus style and author names listing all authors if six or fewer or the first six followed by et al. if seven or more.
Figures & Tables The graphical abstract must be uploaded separately during online submission.

Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must state the originality of the work and disclose previous presentations, reports, or publications containing material that appears in the manuscript.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract should be 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must be organized as title page, abstract, key words, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, tables and/or illustrations, and references. Manuscript must include 3–6 key words, a graphical abstract, and author contributions on the title page.
References Original Articles may include up to 40 references. References must conform to NLM Style Guide. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention, use unparenthesized superscripts after closing punctuation, abbreviate journal titles according to Index Medicus, and list all authors for six or fewer authors or the first six followed by et al. for seven or more authors.
Figures & Tables Graphical abstract must be uploaded separately as a JPG (JPEG) or TIFF file during online submission. Tables should fit within a single page, figures must be cited consecutively using Arabic numerals, and legends for tables and illustrations must be typed double-spaced on a separate page.

Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 2,000 words excluding the abstract, references, and figure/table legends. Manuscript does not require subdivisions such as Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion. A graphical abstract is required.
References References must conform to NLM Style Guide. References must be numbered consecutively in the order first mentioned in the text, journal titles must use Index Medicus abbreviations, and journal article references must list all authors if there are six or fewer or the first six followed by et al. if there are seven or more.

Figures & Tables The total number of tables and figures must not exceed three.
