American Journal of Cardiovascular Drugs promotes rational therapy within cardiology and covers all aspects of the treatment of cardiovascular disorders, with particular emphasis on the place in therapy of newer and established agents. The journal publishes reviews and original clinical research on pharmacology, efficacy, adverse effects, newly developed drugs and drug classes, therapeutic implications of research into cardiovascular disease aetiology, and practical management of specific clinical situations.

Review Article

Cover Letter A covering letter is required with the submission. The covering letter must state the article type, explain why the paper is important and of interest to the journal’s readership, and briefly describe what the review covers.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured and contain no headings.
Manuscript Review Article manuscripts should be up to 8000 words. A section entitled 'Declarations' must be provided before the reference list. The manuscript must include two to three non-technical Key Points beneath the abstract, a Declarations section with all listed subsections including 'Not applicable' where needed, documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods section or another suitable section, a statement identifying who conceived the article, performed the literature search and data analysis, and drafted and critically revised the work, and a disclosure statement.
References There is no limit on the number of references. References must be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets and listed consecutively in a numbered reference list that includes only cited published or accepted works, with full DOI links where available.
Figures & Tables There is no limit on the number of figures or tables. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, but large figures may be submitted separately if file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order, and accompanied by concise captions, with figure captions included in the manuscript text file.

Manuscript Systematic Review manuscripts should be up to 10,000 words. The manuscript must include two to three short non-technical key points beneath the abstract, a Declarations section with the required subsections, documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods or another suitable section, a statement of responsibility specifying every author’s contribution, and a disclosure statement.

The manuscript must include two to three non-technical Key Points beneath the abstract, a Declarations section with required subsections, documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods or another suitable section, a disclosure statement, and a Data Availability Statement explaining how to access supporting data.
