It publishes original research, reviews and scholarly essays for researchers and clinicians worldwide and is affiliated with the Tang Center for Herbal Medicine Research at the University of Chicago.

Original Studies

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required at the beginning of the manuscript. Abstract must be a single paragraph of no more than 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured as a single paragraph.
Manuscript Text must not exceed 4,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figures. The manuscript must include no more than 7 keywords accompanying the abstract.
References Citations must use author name and year of publication. References must be listed on a separate sheet in alphabetical order and include all authors' names and full titles.
Figures & Tables Tables must be submitted in editable format rather than as images. Figures must be no larger than 8 1/2 × 11 inches (22 × 28 cm) and prepared clearly for direct reproduction with legible lettering and sharp contrast.
