Review Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Review Articles must include an abstract. Abstract must be unstructured and 120–160 words, with fewer than 160 words stated elsewhere. Abstract must be unstructured and unreferenced.
Manuscript Review Articles must be 2,500–5,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, and accompanying statements. Text must be divided under headings and subheadings. Manuscript must include 3 to 7 keywords, a bulleted Clinical Perspective statement, and disclosure of any AI tool use in the paper.
References Review Articles may include a maximum of 80 references. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited as superscript numbers in order of first mention and listed numerically at the end, listing the first three authors followed by "et al." unless there are four or fewer authors.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables in total. Figures must be uploaded as separate files and not included in the anonymised manuscript, while tables with their titles and captions must be placed at the end of the anonymised manuscript file. Figure titles and captions must appear at the end of the anonymised manuscript file, tables must be editable, and all figures and tables must be referred to in the main text and numbered sequentially.

Original Research

Abstract Original Research articles must include a structured abstract. Abstract must be no more than 250 words. Abstract must be structured in 5 paragraphs. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Trial Registration if the trial has been registered.
Manuscript Main text must be 2,500 to 5,000 words excluding the abstract and references. Main text must include the headed sections Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion, with Study limitations at the end of the Discussion. Manuscript must include 3 to 7 keywords, a bulleted Clinical Perspective summary in 2 to 5 bullet points, a Data Availability Statement, author contributions using the CRediT Taxonomy, and AI-use disclosure when AI tools were used.
References Original Research articles may include a maximum of 100 references. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited as superscript numbers in order of first mention and listed numerically at the end, listing the first three authors followed by "et al." unless there are four or fewer authors.
