Review Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for Review Articles. Abstract must be 120–160 words. Abstract must be unstructured and unreferenced.
Manuscript Manuscript must be 2,500–5,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, and accompanying statements. Text must be divided under headings and subheadings. Manuscript must include 3 to 7 keywords, and any use of AI tools in writing or drafting must be disclosed in the paper with the tool and its use described.
References Review Articles may include a maximum of 80 references. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be numbered in order of first mention using superscript, listed numerically at the end, and give the first three authors followed by "et al." unless there are four or fewer authors.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables combined. Figures must be uploaded separately and not included in the anonymised manuscript, while figure captions and tables must appear at the end of the anonymised manuscript file. Tables must be editable and figures and tables must be referenced within the manuscript text.

Original Research

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Research articles. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be structured in five paragraphs. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Trial Registration.
Manuscript Manuscript must be 2,500–5,000 words excluding the abstract, references, and accompanying statements. Manuscript must include the headings Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Study limitations, Conclusion, Trial Registration and Data availability statement, with Study limitations placed at the end of the Discussion. Manuscript must include 3 to 7 keywords, clinical perspectives as brief bullet points of no more than 150 words, and an AI-use disclosure if AI tools were used in writing or drafting.
References Original Research articles may include a maximum of 100 references. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be cited as superscript numbers in order of first mention and listed numerically at the end, with the first three authors followed by "et al." unless there are four or fewer authors.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables. Figures must be uploaded separately and not included within the anonymised manuscript file, while figure captions and tables must appear at the end of the anonymised manuscript file. Tables must be editable and tables longer than 2 pages must be uploaded as supplementary material.

Letter To Editor

Abstract Abstract is not required for Letters To Editor.
Manuscript Letters To Editor must be no more than 1500 words. Manuscripts must include a minimum of 3 keywords and must disclose any use of AI tools in the paper, including how the tool was used and which tool was used.
References Letters To Editor may include a maximum of 10 references. References must follow the Vancouver referencing style. References must be cited as superscript numbers in order of first mention and listed numerically at the end, using the first three authors followed by "et al." unless there are four or fewer authors.
Figures & Tables Articles may include a maximum of 5 figures and tables. Figures must be uploaded separately and not included in the anonymised manuscript file, while tables with their titles or captions must appear at the end of the anonymised manuscript file. Figure titles and captions and table titles or captions must be included at the end of the anonymised manuscript file, and all figures and tables must be referenced in the manuscript text.
