Autoimmunity

Autoimmunity is an international peer-reviewed journal publishing research on cell and molecular immunology, immunogenetics, and molecular biology relevant to immunity and autoimmunity. Its scope includes innate lymphoid cells, T cells, B cells, molecular mediators of the immune system, regulatory mechanisms of T-cell and antibody responses, and epigenetic and metabolic processes, as well as systemic and organ-specific autoimmune responses and immune disorders. The journal converted to a full Open Access journal from Volume 56 (2023), while previous volumes remain available through a Pay to Read model.

Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.

Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 200 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.

Manuscript Manuscript should be approximately 4000 words. Manuscript should be ordered as title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, acknowledgments, declaration of interest statement, references, appendices as appropriate, tables with captions on individual pages, figures, and a list of figure captions. Manuscript must include keywords and a declaration stating whether and how generative AI was used, or state that generative AI was not used.

References References may be in any consistent scholarly citation style or format. Bibliographic entries must include author name(s), journal or book title, article or chapter title, year, volume and issue where appropriate, page numbers, and a corresponding in-text citation.

Figures & Tables Tables should appear on individual pages and figures and tables can be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents. Tables must be supplied as editable files.
