Bio-Design and Manufacturing is an interdisciplinary journal focused on advanced manufacturing, biomaterials, tissue and organ engineering, medical and diagnostic devices and applications, and bioproduct design. It is published bimonthly, indexed by SCI-E, SCOPUS and Current Contents Engineering, Computing & Technology, and publishes Research Articles, Reviews, Reports and Short Papers with an interdisciplinary editorial board and a focus on 3D bioprinting and biomanufacturing.

Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required and must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Structured abstract is not required.
Manuscript Research Articles are approximately 10 to 11 pages. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, three non-technical 'Article Highlights' bullet points beneath the abstract, a 'Statements and Declarations' section with headings retained and marked 'Not applicable' when irrelevant, documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods or suitable alternative section, a disclosure statement, and a Data Availability Statement explaining access to supporting data including links or citations to publicly archived datasets.
References Citations must be numbered in square brackets with a consecutively numbered reference list. Reference list must include only cited works that are published or accepted for publication, with DOI links included when available.
Figures & Tables Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, with large figures uploaded separately only if manuscript file size causes upload problems. Tables and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals in consecutive order, each table must have a caption, each figure must have a concise descriptive caption, and reused material must be credited in the caption.
