The Journal of Prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease (JPAD) is an e-only Gold Open Access journal that publishes reviews, original research articles and short reports to improve knowledge in Alzheimer's disease prevention, including neurosciences, biomarkers, imaging, epidemiology, public health, physical cognitive exercise, nutrition, risk and protective factors, drug development, trial design, and health economics outcomes. It also publishes meeting abstracts from the Clinical Trial on Alzheimer's Disease (CTAD) Conference and is indexed in MEDLINE, SCIE (WoS), and Scopus.

Original Papers

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must be limited to a maximum of 5,500 text words. Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. The manuscript must include 1 to 6 keywords in English and, if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation, a declaration section immediately before the references specifying the tool used and the reason for using it.
References References must be limited to 60. AMA Manual of Style, 11th edition, is required. References must be cited by number in square brackets in the text and listed in numerical order of appearance, with the first 6 authors given followed by 'et al.' for works with more than 6 authors.
Figures & Tables A maximum of 5 graphics, including tables, figures, or appendices, is allowed. Figures and other graphical media must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images and must include captions.
