Research Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required and must include reasons for submission. Cover letter must include reasons for submission and disclose any overlap with previous publication or prior conference abstract presentation.
Abstract A full structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Objective, Design, Setting, Population or Sample, Methods, Main Outcome Measures, Results, Conclusions, Funding, and Keywords in that order.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 3500 words, with the Introduction limited to 400 words and the Discussion plus Conclusion limited to 1200 words combined. Main text must be organized under Funding, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, with the Discussion including Main Findings, Strengths and Limitations, and Interpretation. Manuscript must include a Funding section with funder details and grant information, a Methods section addressing core outcome sets and patient involvement or stating patients were not involved, and transparent disclosure of any generative AI use in the Methods, disclosure, or Acknowledgements section.
References References must use the Vancouver style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first citation, cited as superscripts, list all authors when there are up to six and the first six followed by et al when there are more than six.
Figures & Tables A maximum of 4 tables and figures can appear in print. Tables and figures must not be included in the main text and must be submitted as separate files, with additional items uploaded as supporting information. Tables and figure files must be editable, include legends, and each item appearing in print must be no longer than 1 page.

Manuscript Main text must not exceed 3500 words, the Introduction must not exceed 400 words, and the Discussion and Conclusion combined must not exceed 1200 words. Main text must be subdivided under Funding, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, with the Discussion including Main Findings, Strengths and Limitations, and Interpretation. Methods must discuss core outcome sets and patient involvement, the Conclusion must include practical and research recommendations, the Funding section must name the funding body and grant identifier and explain peer review and funder role, and any generative AI use must be transparently described in the Methods, disclosures, or Acknowledgements as applicable.
References References must use the Vancouver style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention and cited as superscripts, listing all authors for works with up to six authors and the first six followed by et al for works with more than six authors.
