Original Article – Clinical Science

Cover Letter A cover letter or completed journal submission form must accompany the manuscript. The cover letter or submission form must include conflict of interest information if not given elsewhere, an authorship statement if not provided in another form, contact information for the author handling revisions and proofs if not in the manuscript, and any concerns raised about the conduct of the research or recommended corrective action.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 words or less. Abstract must be structured using the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Abstract must state the purpose, basic procedures, main findings, and principal conclusions of the study.
Manuscript Manuscript may have a maximum of 4,000 words. Manuscript must use the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion and include acknowledgements. The manuscript must include three to five MeSH keywords below the abstract and must transparently declare any AI assistance in the acknowledgements or Methods section as applicable.
References Manuscript may have a maximum of 50 references. References must use Vancouver style. References must be numbered consecutively in the order they are first mentioned in the text.
Figures & Tables Manuscript may have a maximum of 10 tables and figures in total. The entire article must be supplied as a single file with tables and figures inserted into the correct positions in the text. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively in the order of first citation and each must be cited in the text.

Review

Cover Letter A cover letter or completed journal submission form must accompany the manuscript. The cover letter or submission form must include statements on redundant publication, conflicts of interest, authorship, and contact information for the author responsible for communication if not provided elsewhere.
Abstract An abstract is required for Reviews, with systematic reviews and meta-analyses requiring a structured abstract. The abstract must be 150 words or less. The abstract must be unstructured for Reviews, except systematic reviews and meta-analyses which require a structured abstract.
Manuscript The manuscript may have a maximum of 6,000 words. Reviews must use the sections Introduction, Main text with numbered headings provided by the author, and Conclusion. The manuscript must include three to five MeSH keywords below the abstract and must transparently declare any AI assistance, with writing assistance reported in the acknowledgments and data collection, analysis, or figure generation use described in the Methods section.
References Reviews should preferably contain fewer than 100 references. References must use Vancouver reference style. References must be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
Figures & Tables The entire article must be supplied as a single file with tables and figures inserted into the correct positions in the text. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively in the order of first citation in the text, and each table must have a title.
