Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Importance, Objective, Evidence Acquisition, Results, and Conclusions and Relevance.
Manuscript The manuscript must be 3,500–8,000 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figures and is limited to 10 journal pages. Review Articles must include at least three learning objectives, at least four CME test questions that directly address the learning objectives, and AI use disclosures when applicable.
References Review Articles must include no more than 100 references. AMA. References must be cited in the text as full-size numbers in parentheses in order of appearance, and references with more than three authors should list the first three authors followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Review Articles may include a maximum of 8 total figures and/or tables. Figures must be uploaded as separate items and tables must be uploaded as separate editable Word files. Figures must be cited consecutively, numbered in order, and accompanied by legends, and tables must be self-explanatory, cited consecutively, and include titles, column heads, and explanatory footnotes.
