Gynecologic Oncology

Gynecologic Oncology is the Society of Gynecologic Oncology's official peer-reviewed journal and publishes high-quality science and educational content across the full continuum of gynecologic cancer care. Its focus includes clinically relevant research on prevention, detection, treatment, and survivorship in gynecologic cancers, including clinical trials, radiation and surgical innovation, health outcomes and diversity research, epidemiology, patient-centered quality of life research, and translational research with promise for clinical treatment innovation. The journal publishes original research, invited reviews, editorials, perspectives, correspondence, and SGO communications including abstracts, practice statements, and guidelines.

Abstract A structured abstract is required for Research Papers. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must be divided into Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4000 words in the main body of text, excluding references and figure legends. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined sections using headings. Submission must include 1 to 7 keywords, 3 to 5 highlights in a separate editable file, a declarations section before the references if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation, an acknowledgements section before the references, and supplementary material.
References References must be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets and numbered in the order of first appearance in the article.
Figures & Tables Any figures or tables exceeding the allowed article-type limits must be supplied as supplementary material. Figures must be supplied as separate files, while tables must be submitted as editable text. All figures and tables must be cited in the text, numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and accompanied by captions.
