Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be less than 250 words.
Manuscript The manuscript must include a funding statement.
References Reference citations must be numbered in square brackets in the text and the reference list must be numbered consecutively and include full bibliographic details with DOI links where available.
Figures & Tables In Word submissions, figures and tables must be placed in the body of the text where they are referenced, while in LaTeX submissions they must be compressed into a ZIP file. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and cited in consecutive numerical order, and each table must have a caption while figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file.

Registered Report

Cover Letter A brief cover letter is required for Stage 1 submissions and a cover letter is required for Stage 2 submissions. The Stage 1 cover letter must include a brief scientific case for consideration, an estimated timeline for completing the study, and a proposed resubmission date, while the Stage 2 cover letter must confirm that all non-pilot data were collected after in-principle acceptance and analysed as previously described and must note any unforeseen changes in methods and analyses.
