Acta Diabetologica is a journal dedicated to publishing experimental and clinical research on diabetes mellitus and related metabolic diseases. It invites original contributions on biochemical, physiological, pathophysiological and clinical aspects of diabetes and metabolic diseases, and publishes original articles, short communications, letters to the editor, invited reviews, editorials, workshop reports, and methodology-focused contributions, including new techniques of innovative importance in diabetes and metabolism.

Abstract Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract does not need to be structured.
Manuscript Text must not exceed 4,000 words. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a declarations section before the reference list, documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods section or another suitable section, a disclosure statement, and a statement specifying who had the idea for the article, who performed the literature search and data analysis, and who drafted and/or critically revised the work.
References References should not exceed 70. Citations must be numbered in square brackets in the text and the reference list must be numbered consecutively.
Figures & Tables Reviews may include up to 15 figures. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text and submitted separately only if file size causes upload problems.
