Biomedical Microdevices is a peer-reviewed journal focusing on diagnostic and therapeutic applications of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, microfabrication, and nanotechnology. It covers the design, characterization, testing, modeling, and validation of microfabricated systems and their integration, explores interactions of microdevices with cells and tissues including biocompatibility and biodegradation, and features bioseparation technologies, miniaturized analytic systems, biosensors, tissue engineering, and drug delivery.

Research Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract must be 150 to 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a data availability statement, a disclosure statement, documentation of any large language model use in the Methods section or another suitable section, and a Declarations section before the references that includes funding/competing interests and authors’ contribution statements.
References References must use name-and-year in-text citation style. Reference list must include only cited published or accepted works, be alphabetized by the first author’s surname, and include full DOI links where available.
Figures & Tables Figures should be embedded within the manuscript text unless file size requires large figures to be uploaded separately. A graphical abstract is required at initial submission, and each figure and table must be numbered in Arabic numerals and accompanied by a caption.
