Original Research

Abstract
Original Research manuscripts must include a structured abstract. The abstract must be 250 to 500 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Objective(s), Study Design, Results, and Conclusion(s).
Manuscript
Original Research manuscripts are limited to 3000 words of main text. The main text must use the headings Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Comment, and the Comment section must include the subheadings Principal Findings, Results in the Context of What is Known, Clinical Implications, Research Implications, Strengths and Limitations, and Conclusions. A condensation page must follow the title page and include a tweetable statement of no more than 210 characters, a short title of no more than 10 words, alphabetized keywords must appear at the end of the abstract, and any use of generative AI in manuscript preparation must be declared in a section immediately before the references.
References
References are not permitted in the Original Research abstract, and any references cited in the article must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Figures & Tables
Figures must be submitted as separate files, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images. All figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript text, numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and accompanied by captions.
Systematic Review
