Research Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is strongly encouraged for initial submission. Cover letter must describe how any associated manuscript is related to the current submission.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must be 150 words. Abstract structure is not specified. Abstract headings are not specified.
Manuscript Manuscript must contain 6,000 words of text. Manuscript sections should be ordered as title page, abstract, statement of significance, introduction, results, discussion, methods, references, tables, table legends, figure legends, and figures, and the Results and Discussion sections must not be combined. Manuscript must include a 50-word statement of significance and must declare any use of generative AI or human-assisted editing services in the acknowledgments section.
References Manuscript must include 50 references.
Figures & Tables Manuscript may include a total of 7 figures and/or tables. For initial submission, each figure should be placed in sequential order adjacent to its legend, ideally where it is first cited in the text. Each figure or table must fit on a single printed page.
