Consensus Statements

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words including the abstract, body text, and references. Manuscript must include Abstract, Introduction, Main Text, References, Tables, and Acknowledgments. Manuscript must include a take home message with up to three bullet points summarizing the clinical relevance of the paper in the context of the existing literature.
References References must be relevant and up to date, citation bias should be reduced where possible, and personal communications must not be included.
Figures & Tables Papers may include a maximum of 8 tables and no more than 10 figures, counting figure parts such as a, b, and c separately. All manuscript elements must be included in the same document, and figures must also be submitted individually. Figure and table legends must be comprehensive and descriptive, composite figures must be split into separate images, and axes and units must be clearly labeled where applicable.
