Original Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required and must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be no more than 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4000 words including references, but table text does not count toward this limit. Manuscript must be organized into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References, with an article summary after the abstract. Manuscript must include no more than five key words beneath the abstract, an article summary with the headings Article focus, Key messages, and Strengths and limitations of this study, and a description of any AI use in the Methods section with mention in the Acknowledgements section.
References References must use the Vancouver citation style. References must be cited by superscript numbers in order of appearance.
Figures & Tables Main document may include up to 10 figures and up to 8 tables, and any additional figures must be submitted as supplementary material. Figures do not need to be embedded in the Word document and individual figure files must be uploaded separately. Each figure must contain no more than 6 parts with composite parts uploaded as a single image, and each figure and table must have a descriptive legend or heading.

Abstract Abstract is not required for Editorials.
Manuscript Editorials should be 1200 to 1500 words in length excluding references. Editorials must not include headings. Editorials do not require an article summary, and any use of AI applications must be described in detail in the Methods section and mentioned in the Acknowledgements section.
References Editorials must include no more than 30 references.
Figures & Tables Editorials must not include figures or tables. Figures must be uploaded as separate individual JPEG or TIFF files rather than embedded in the Word document.
