British Journal of Clinical Psychology is an international journal publishing research relevant to mental health researchers and practising clinicians. It publishes work that improves understanding and treatment of mental illness across the lifespan and across the spectrum of psychopathology, and welcomes submissions using methods including cross-sectional studies, experiments, meta-analyses, and randomized controlled trials.

Registered Reports

Cover Letter A brief cover letter is required for Stage 1 submissions and a Stage 2 resubmission cover letter is also required. The Stage 1 cover letter must include a brief scientific case for consideration, an anticipated study timeline, confirmation that if the paper is withdrawn a short summary will be published under 'Withdrawn Registrations', and confirmation that the approved protocol will be registered on the Open Science Framework or another recognized repository after Stage 1 in-principle acceptance, while the Stage 2 resubmission cover letter must collectively certify that all non-pilot data were collected after in-principle acceptance and should state the page number containing the approved Stage 1 protocol URL.
