The journal publishes reports of original investigations, systematic and narrative reviews, editorials, reflections, images, accredited CPD modules, and the annually revised CAS Guidelines to the Practice of Anesthesia, and produces topical Special Issues, Focus Issues, and numerous online Topical Collections.

Report of Clinical or Laboratory Investigation

Cover Letter A separate cover letter introducing the work, explaining the research conducted, and stating its relevance is required for submission.
Abstract The abstract must summarize background/purpose, study design and setting, subjects, interventions and measurements, main numerical findings, and conclusions related to the primary hypothesis.
Manuscript Reports of Clinical or Laboratory Investigations must not exceed 3,000 words.
References Reports of Clinical or Laboratory Investigations may include up to 50 references (limit: 50 references).
Figures & Tables Tables and figure legends must each begin on separate pages from the main text, and data should generally be presented in either a table or a figure, but not duplicated in both.
