Original Research Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required as part of the submission.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Aim, Setting, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Contribution.
Manuscript Manuscript must be 3500–5000 words excluding the abstract, tables, figures, graphs, and references. Manuscript must include Introduction, Research methods and design, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and Acknowledgements sections, with the Research methods and design section using the subheadings Study design, Setting, Study population and sampling strategy, Intervention if appropriate, Data collection, Data analysis, and Ethical considerations. Manuscript must include eight keywords and separate headings for Competing interests, Author contributions, Funding, Data availability, and Disclaimer.
References Manuscript must include no more than 60 references. References must use Vancouver style. Reference lists must include accurate DOIs where applicable.
Figures & Tables Manuscript must include no more than 7 tables, figures, and graphs in total. Illustrations must adhere to the AOSIS house style guide.

Review Article

Manuscript must follow a structured approach with clear review question(s), search strategy, selection of articles, extraction and analysis of data, and sections including Introduction, Methods, Review findings, Implications and recommendations, and Conclusion. Manuscript must include eight keywords, an Acknowledgements section, and separate headings for Competing interests, Author contributions, Funding, Data availability, and Disclaimer.
References Reference list must contain no more than 60 references. References must use Vancouver style. Reference lists must include accurate DOIs where applicable.

Manuscript Manuscript must be 2500–3500 words excluding the abstract, tables, figures, graphs, and references. Manuscript must use structural headings and consist of at least one case with an extensive structured literature review or a retrospective analysis of three or more cases.
References Reference list must contain no more than 20 references. References must use Vancouver style. Reference lists must include accurate DOIs where applicable.
Figures & Tables Manuscript may include no more than 2 tables, figures, and graphs. Illustrations must adhere to the AOSIS house style guide.
