Original Research Articles

Cover Letter If AI assistive technology was used, the cover letter must describe how it was used.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions and include the purpose, main methods, main results, conclusions, clinical relevance, and sample sizes.
Manuscript Original Research Articles must include Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and a Conclusions section separate from the Discussion. Manuscripts may include up to 10 keywords and must include Conflict of Interest, Ethics Approval and Consent to Participate, Acknowledgment, Funding, and Availability of Data and Materials sections, and if AI assistive technology was used it must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References References must use a numbered citation style with bracketed numbers in the text. References must be sorted numerically, list all authors when there are fewer than six and the first six followed by et al. when there are more than six, and use standard journal titles.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables may be embedded in the main manuscript file and should be placed near their first citation in the text. Figures and tables must be numbered sequentially and cited in the text, each table must have a short descriptive heading, and each figure must have a separate detailed legend.
