Submission Instructions

Jor Spine accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Research Article

Cover Letter Required. The cover letter must state the research questions.
Abstract Required. Up to 250 words. Unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must include Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, References, Tables, and Figure Legends sections. A title page must include the article title, author names and affiliations, corresponding author contact details, running title, and an author contributions statement, and the manuscript must include a labeled Statement of Clinical Significance if applicable and provide at least four keywords on the title page.
References References must use a consistent style.
Figures & Tables Appendices must be submitted separately, and figures must be included as separate files or in a single PDF, Word document, or LaTeX suite. Tables must be cited in the text in order, figure files must be named only with the word figure and the appropriate number, one figure must be submitted per file, and figure legends must use Arabic numerals, follow the order of appearance, and explain abbreviations or symbols.

Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be unstructured and no more than 250 words. Unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must contain Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, References, Tables, and Figure Legends sections. The title page must include the article title, author names and affiliations, corresponding author contact details, running title, and an author contributions statement, and the manuscript must include a labeled Statement of Clinical Significance if applicable, plus an AI use and verification description in Methods if AI was involved in the study and an AI disclosure statement if AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References References must use a consistent style.
