Original Articles

Cover Letter A covering letter must be included. The covering letter must briefly justify why the article is suitable for Clinical & Translational Immunology and within the journal's scope.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be no longer than 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Original Articles must be 3,000-6,000 words excluding the abstract, methods, references, figures, and tables. Results and Discussion must be in two separate sections. At least 4 keywords must be provided.
References Vancouver. References must be cited in superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance, listed in numerical order, and formatted with all authors up to six or the first three followed by et al. for more than six.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include 6-8 tables or figures. Figures and tables should be submitted as separate files, with supporting information and appendices also supplied as separate files. Tables must be self-contained and editable, figure legends must be concise and comprehensive, and figures and tables must follow the specified image, labeling, and citation requirements.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A covering letter is required. The covering letter must include a short justification that the article is suitable for Clinical & Translational Immunology and within the scope of the journal.
Abstract An abstract is required. No more than 250 words. Unstructured.
Manuscript No more than 6,000 words. Title, Abstract, Introduction, and References are required, and the article may use short topical headings without Methods or Results sections. At least 4 keywords must be provided, and the title should be succinct and avoid abbreviations.
References No more than 100 references. Vancouver. References should focus on significant original research papers, be listed in numerical order as cited, and follow the journal's author-listing rules.
Figures & Tables Review Articles may include 6 to 8 tables or figures. Figures and tables should be supplied separately from the main text. Figures and tables are strongly encouraged in colour.

Short Communications

Cover Letter A covering letter is required. It must include a short justification of why the article is suitable for Clinical & Translational Immunology and within the scope of the journal.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be no longer than 250 words. The abstract must be structured. Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Short Communications must not exceed 2,000 words excluding methods, figures, and tables. Results and Discussion must be in two separate sections. At least 4 keywords must be provided, and the manuscript must clearly indicate the precise number of subjects or animals, replicate wells, and independent experiments performed.
References Short Communications may include a maximum of 30 references. Vancouver References must be listed in numerical order corresponding to the order of citation in the text, and for papers with up to six authors all authors should be listed while papers with more than six authors should list the first three authors followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Short Communications may include a maximum of 4 tables or figures. Figures and tables should be supplied as separate files rather than embedded in the manuscript. Figure legends must be concise but comprehensive, tables must be self-contained and editable, and original uncropped western blot images with protein ladders and the full gating strategy for any experimental flow cytometric data must be included as Supporting Information.
