Original Articles

Abstract Original Articles must include a structured abstract of 250 words. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Objective, Method, Results, and Discussion and include at least three identified keywords from the manuscript.
Manuscript Original Articles must not exceed 4,500 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figures. Manuscript should be organized with an introduction stating whether the study is hypothesis-generating or hypothesis-testing, a Method section describing preregistration if applicable, participant recruitment period, recruitment methods, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and measure reliability and validity, and a Discussion section including strengths and limitations. Manuscript must include a data availability statement, an IRB statement, Key Points/Summary of 2–4 bullet points, a plain-English Summary Statement, and at least five keywords.
References References should follow APA 7th edition style. In-text citations must use the author-date method and the reference list must be alphabetical with DOIs included where available.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include no more than 8 figures and tables in total. Figures and tables may be included in the manuscript or provided as separate files. Tables must have descriptive titles and needed footnotes, and figures must have legends that succinctly describe the displayed information.
