Research Papers

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must mention any re-use of material and any unpublished material included in the manuscript.
Abstract An abstract is required. No more than 250 words. Structured. Key summary points are required just above the abstract, divided into Aim, Findings, and Message.
Manuscript No more than 5000 words. No more than three levels of displayed headings. The manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, and a statement of responsibility specifying the contribution of every author, and it should include Key summary points just above the abstract.
References No more than 50 references. Numbered citations in square brackets. Only works cited in the text and published or accepted for publication may be listed, and DOI links should be included when available.
Figures & Tables No more than 6 tables and figures in total. Tables must be numbered in Arabic numerals and cited in consecutive numerical order, figures must have lowercase letter parts, and figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file.

Manuscript Brief Reports should not exceed 1500 words. The manuscript must include a statement of responsibility specifying the contribution of every author.
References Brief Reports may include no more than 15 references. References in the text must be cited by numbers in square brackets. The reference list may include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication, and DOIs must be given as full DOI links when available.
Figures & Tables All tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and cited in text in consecutive numerical order, and each table must have a caption explaining its components.

Figures & Tables All figures must be supplied electronically, and figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure file. All tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and cited in consecutive order, each table must have a caption, figure parts must be labeled with lowercase letters, and the graphics program used for artwork must be indicated.
