Seminars in Cancer Biology is a review journal focused on developments in molecular oncology. Each issue is thematic, covers topics of interest to cancer biologists ranging from genetic and molecular causes of cancer to molecular bases of potential therapies, and is edited by guest editors with approximately eight to twelve invited reviews on different aspects of the subject area.

Seminars In Cancer Biology is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Invited Review Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Invited Review Articles should be 7 to 8 printed pages in length, calculated at approximately 880 words per page with allowance for illustrations, and 4 tables or figures with legends count as 1 printed page. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined sections using headings. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 English keywords, an acknowledgements section before the references, and if AI tools were used in manuscript preparation, a declaration section before the references.
References References may be in any style or format at submission as long as the style is consistent. References must consistently include author names, source title, article or chapter title, year, and volume numbers with article numbers or pagination where applicable, and every in-text citation must appear in the reference list and vice versa.
Figures & Tables Four tables or figures with legends are counted as one printed page toward the article length. Figures must be uploaded as separate files, while tables must be submitted as editable text. Tables must be numbered consecutively, cited in the text, and include captions, and figures must be numbered consecutively, cited in the text, and include captions explaining symbols and abbreviations.
