Abstract Abstract is required and must not exceed 250 words. It should briefly state the purpose, principal results, and major conclusions. No specific structured headings are specified.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no longer than 4000 words. Use clearly defined, numbered sections and numbered subsections. Highlights are mandatory as a separate editable file with 3–5 bullet points, and a graphical abstract is required.
References No more than 40 references are allowed. Citations must use numbered square brackets, and the reference list must be numbered in order of appearance. Journal names must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables No specific maximum figure or table count is indicated. Illustrations must be numbered in text order, submitted as separate files, and have separate captions. Tables must be editable text, uploaded separately, and numbered consecutively.
