It provides a platform for rapid communication of high quality scientific knowledge on inter- and intra-species pathogen transmission, bringing together leading experts in virology, bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, vectors and vector-borne diseases, tropical health, veterinary sciences, pathology, immunology, food safety, mathematical modelling, epidemiology, public health research and emergency preparedness.

Original Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required and must be included with the submission.
Abstract An abstract is required, unstructured, with a maximum length of 250–300 words (not exceeding the journal-stated upper limit of 400 words).
Manuscript Manuscript length must not exceed 3,000 words for the sections from Introduction to Conclusion, and the article must follow a clearly divided structure with headings covering all essential elements.
References Use the journal’s numbered (numeric/Vancouver-style) referencing with citations in square brackets in order of appearance, abbreviated journal titles per the List of Title Word Abbreviations, and a maximum of 50 references.
Figures & Tables Up to 6 figures and tables in total are allowed, with tables submitted as editable text placed near relevant text or on separate pages, and figures supplied as separate high-resolution files in accepted formats (EPS, PDF, TIFF, JPG, or PNG) with separate captions.

Review Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required with the submission.
Abstract An abstract is required, unstructured, with a maximum length between 250 and 300 words (not to exceed the stated 300‑word limit).
Manuscript Manuscript text from Introduction to Conclusion must not exceed 4,000 words and should follow a clearly divided structure with headings covering all essential elements.
References Use the journal’s numbered (numeric) style with references cited in order of appearance in square brackets, and limit the reference list to a maximum of 100 references.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables together may not exceed a total of 6 items, must be supplied as separate editable/source files (not PDF), and tables should be editable text while figures/images meet the specified file format and resolution requirements.

Short Communication

Abstract A concise abstract is required, with a maximum length of 150 words for Short Communications (overall abstract limit not exceeding 400 words).
Manuscript Short Communications are limited to 1,500 words for the sections from Introduction to Conclusion, and the manuscript must follow a clearly divided structure with headings covering all essential elements.
References Use the journal’s numbered (numeric/Vancouver-style) referencing with citations in square brackets in order of appearance; Short Communications may include up to 20 references, formatted with abbreviated journal titles and DOIs where available.
Figures & Tables Short Communications may include a total of 2–3 figures and tables, submitted as separate editable source files (not PDFs), with tables as editable text and figures/images as separate EPS, PDF, TIFF, JPG or PNG files at appropriate resolution and accompanied by separate captions.
