Original Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must identify the person responsible for editorial correspondence and provide that person's address, telephone number, and email address.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words. Manuscript must be divided into the sections Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Tables, and Figures. The manuscript must include 1 to 10 keywords, 3 to 5 highlights submitted as a separate editable file, and a generative AI declaration in a new section before the references list if AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References References are limited to 40. References must use numbered square-bracket citations. References must be numbered in the order of appearance in the text and journal names must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files, while the article structure includes Tables and Figures as manuscript sections. Tables must be submitted as editable text with captions and figures must each have a caption and be cited in the text.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must identify the person responsible for editorial correspondence and provide the address, telephone number, and email address.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Review Articles must not exceed 6,000 words. Review Articles should follow the overall structure of Original Research articles. Manuscript must include 1 to 10 keywords, article highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points submitted as a separate editable file, a competing interest declaration uploaded separately, and a generative AI declaration in a section before the references when applicable.
References References must use a numbered style with citations indicated by number in square brackets. References must be numbered in the order of appearance in the text, and journal names must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded as separate files, whereas tables are submitted with the manuscript as editable text rather than images. All figures and tables must be cited in the text, numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and provided with captions.
