Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript text must not exceed 3500 words, excluding the abstract, figure legends, and references. Text must be organized into Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include clinical implications or key messages, a capsule summary, up to ten keywords, a list of abbreviations after the keywords, and a declaration of generative AI use before the references if generative AI was used.
References References must be numbered consecutively in the order cited in the text and listed in numeric sequence at the end of the article.
Figures & Tables No more than 8 graphic presentations, including figures and tables combined, are allowed. Figures must be uploaded as separate files, figure legends must be placed after the references, and figures must not contain embedded legends. Each figure legend must be 200 words or less.
