Vascular Pharmacology is a journal of vascular biology and medicine that publishes papers, reviews, and perspectives on vascular cells across biochemistry, pharmacology, pathology, physiology, molecular and developmental biology, and clinical medicine, including topics such as atherosclerosis, thrombosis, neurovascular diseases, diabetes, pulmonary hypertension, vascular aging, reperfusion injury, and microvascular dysfunction.

Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required for Research Articles. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured. Abstract must clearly state the objective or hypothesis, primary results, and conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must be limited to 5000 words including title, abstract, tables, figures, and references list. Manuscript must include an introduction, experimental design and methods, results, and a scholarly discussion with study limitations and overall conclusion. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords in English, article highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points submitted separately, a graphical abstract submitted separately, and an AI-use declaration at the end of the manuscript before the references if generative AI was used.
References References must not exceed 40. References must use a numbered square-bracket style. References must be numbered in the order they appear in the article and journal names must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Research Articles must contain no more than 5 figures and tables combined. Figures must be uploaded as separate files, while tables must be submitted as editable text. All figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript text, numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and provided with captions.
