Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery is an international journal of surgical reconstruction covering reconstructive and aesthetic aspects of plastic surgery. It publishes surgical procedures with audit and outcome studies of new and established techniques in plastic surgery, including cleft lip and palate and other head and neck surgery, hand surgery, lower limb trauma, burns, skin cancer, breast surgery, and aesthetic surgery.

Original Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must state that the Guide for Authors has been read, all authors approved and take responsibility for the submission, acknowledged contributors and personal communication providers agreed to inclusion, and the material is original.
Abstract A summary abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 250 words. Abstract structure is not explicitly specified. Four to six keywords must be provided at the end of the summary.
Manuscript Original Research Articles should generally be no more than 3000 words in length. Manuscript should usually be divided into Introduction, Materials/Patients and Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. Manuscript should include a summary, four to six keywords, a lay summary of up to 280 characters, acknowledgements, and a Declaration of AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process section before the references if AI-assisted writing was used.
References Original Research Articles should have 40 references. References use a numbered citation style with superscript numbers in the text. References must be listed in numerical order, with journal titles abbreviated according to Index Medicus and more than six authors shortened to the first three followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Original Research Articles should have 16 figures, illustrated images, and tables. Figure legends must be included in the manuscript file, while illustrations should be uploaded as separate files. All text, including tables, references, and figure legends, should be prepared in a single file.
