Systematic Reviews With Or Without Meta-Analyses

Cover Letter Cover letter must contain acknowledgments that all authors have contributed significantly and agree with the content of the manuscript. Cover letter must acknowledge that all authors have contributed significantly and agree with the content of the manuscript.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be limited to 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no more than 6000 words. Text should follow IMRaD format with Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. Manuscript must include 3 to 5 keywords, systematically present primary and secondary outcome measures, provide a statistical summary of relevant outcomes, and tabulate the results.
References There is no limit on references. References must use Vancouver style. References must be cited as consecutive numbers in round brackets, use Index Medicus journal abbreviations, list all authors for works with up to three authors, and list the first three authors followed by 'et al.' for works with more than three authors.
Figures & Tables Tables are recommended in separate files and figures should be provided in separate files. Results should be presented in tables.
