European Journal of Pharmacology publishes research papers covering all aspects of experimental pharmacology, with a focus on the mechanism of action of structurally identified compounds affecting biological systems. Its scope includes behavioural, neuro-, psycho-, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, urogenital, endocrine, immunological, molecular, cellular, regenerative, translational, nutriceutical pharmacology, as well as biologicals and biotherapeutics. The journal publishes full-length papers and reviews, and ethnopharmacological studies with plant extracts or mixtures are out of scope.

Abstract Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Introduction must not exceed 500 words and Discussion must not exceed 1500 words. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections, with the abstract excluded from section numbering. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords in English and, if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation, a declaration in a new section before the references list.
References Text citations must use author name and year of publication. Reference list must be arranged alphabetically and then chronologically if necessary, and references at submission may be in any consistent style or format.
Figures & Tables Figures must be supplied as separate files, while tables are not stated to require separate upload. Tables must be editable text with captions and cited consecutively in the text, and figures must each have a caption, be cited and numbered in text order, and not combine different images or graphs into one file.
