Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required only when submitting reproduced material permissions or, for intervention studies, a TIDieR checklist. The cover letter must include copyright permissions for reused material with complete reference information and must include a TIDieR checklist for Original Articles describing an intervention.
Abstract Original Articles must include an abstract. The abstract must be 300-350 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include the headings Background, Aim, Design, Setting, Population, Methods, Results, Conclusion, and Clinical Rehabilitation Impact.
Manuscript Original Articles should be 3000-5500 words excluding references, tables, and figures. Original Articles should follow the IMRaD structure with Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, References, and any tables and figures. The manuscript must include Notes with authors’ contributions, conflicts of interest, funding, acknowledgements where applicable, an AI-use disclosure in the appropriate section, and the statement “All authors read and approved the final version of the manuscript”.
References Original Articles may include no more than 50 references. References must follow ICMJE standard format using Vancouver style. References must include only cited sources and must be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals in citation order with superscript numerals in the text.
Figures & Tables Tables should be included in the text file, while figures must be submitted as separate files. Tables must be numbered in Roman numerals with titles, and figures must be numbered in Arabic numerals with titles that are also repeated in the text file.
