Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must state any duplication or overlap with previously published work, or that no part of the work has been published, and must state the article type and how the manuscript relates to the journal’s themes.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstracts may contain up to 250 words. Structured. Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The main text must not exceed 4,500 words. The manuscript should include Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Acknowledgements, Author Contributions, and a Statements and Declarations section must be included, and the abstract must be followed by 3 to 6 keywords.
References The manuscript should not exceed 60 references. AMA. References must be cited in consecutive numerical order using superscript Arabic numerals and formatted with author surnames followed by initials without periods.
Figures & Tables The article may include a combined maximum of 6 tables and figures. Tables must be submitted as separate Word files and figures must be submitted as separate files. Tables must be editable in Word with a header row and title, and figures must be labeled with a short title and brief legend.
