Parkinsonism & Related Disorders publishes translational and clinical research that advances the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of movement disorders and neurodegenerative syndromes in which parkinsonism, essential tremor, or related movement disorders may be a feature. It welcomes reviews, points of views, original articles, short communications, movement disorder rounds, and correspondences, and covers topics including molecular biology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neuropsychology, neuroimaging, neurotoxicology, clinical phenomenology, treatment, transplantation, aging, epidemiology, and rehabilitation.

Review Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required for Review Articles. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract should be structured. Abstract should provide the context or background for the research using appropriate headings.
Manuscript Review Articles must not exceed 4000 words excluding the abstract and references. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined sections using headings and ordered as Title, Authors, Affiliations, Keywords, Abstract, Main text divided under headings, Acknowledgements, Appendix, References and Figure Captions. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords in English and a generative AI disclosure section before the references if AI tools were used in manuscript preparation.
References References must be cited in the text as numbers in square brackets, with the reference list arranged alphabetically and then numbered, and journal names abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must not be embedded in the manuscript text and must be uploaded separately. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images, and all figures and tables must be cited in the text and include captions.
